What should I bring to my eye exam?

When you come to your eye exam, make sure you bring your current glasses and contacts. Since we may need to record or update your medications and medical history, bring a list of all the medicines you are taking—prescription and non-prescription alike. When you check in, we’ll need to copy your current medical (and vision, if you have it) insurance cards and a photo ID, so have those with you and ready.

Also, it may be helpful for you to write down any eye trouble and symptoms you’ve been having, along with questions you’d like to ask. That way you can be sure all your vision concerns are addressed and you don’t forget something important during your appointment. Comprehensive eye exams do involve dilating your eyes, so you’ll want to bring comfortable sunglasses to wear afterwards. We do have protective eye shields if you don’t, though, so don’t worry.  If you’re not sure what to bring, or you have any questions about your appointment, just call (616) 722-2020 and ask. We look forward to seeing you at Sight Eye Clinic in Zeeland, MI, very soon.
